Raptor Waistcoat Gets The Seal Of Approval.

“All in all I think this is a wonderful ‘jacket’. Great for birdwatchers, photographers and just generally anybody who spends time in the outdoors and needs to carry quite a bit of kit. I for one give it a big thumbs up!”
Simon Booth, landscape photographer

I spend ages developing new products. The original design is sampled, tweaked, sampled again, sent out on wear test, sampled again…and so on. It generally takes at least 2 years (believe it or not!) before I am completely satisfied and the product finally arrives in our warehouse.

I am delighted when I get positive comments. After all, these new products are the seeds that I have nurtured into saplings and are now growing into mature trees (sorry, maybe that’s not a good analogy but you get my drift!). Dare anyone criticize my new ‘babies’. It would feel like a personal slight!

Imagine then, how absolutely thrilled I was to have been sent this video critique of our Raptor Waistcoat from landscape photographer Simon Booth. Now you may cynically think that he is bound to do a good review, but he will never compromise his professionalism by reviewing something that is not ‘up to scratch’. The very fact that he has reviewed the Raptor is praise in itself, the fact that he rates it as highly as he does just makes me glow with pride.

If you have 6.5 minutes to spare, grab yourself a cuppa and take a look. He really does give the product a thorough going over. So much so that I feel like I would like to buy one myself! You can clearly see how much equipment the Raptor can hold in it’s 15 pockets: 16-35mm lense, 100mm macro lense, filter holder, filters, cable releases, glasses, phone….and a whopping Cannon 1D X + L-bracket!

He talks about the robust fabric, the shoulder padding, the rear pleat, the side tabs, the two way zip, the collar, the epaulettes, the longer length, and you can see the garment actually being worn on the beautiful coast at Southwold in Suffolk.

He sees a real benefit in being able to have everything on his person rather than carrying it in a camera bag that gets sand/mud in, and that he has on numerous occasions forgotten about, and the tide has come in and almost washed the bag away…gulp! What an expensive experience that would be! Much better to have everything protected and safe, loaded into your Raptor pockets.

Simon’s closing summary is the real icing on top of the cake:
