   Very comfortable jacket; quiet and waterproof. Keeps the wind out, even with wind chills below zero. Blends in well with the countryside environment, so ideal for bird/ wildlife watching.
   
   Be guided by the sizing chart; I wore three layers underneath recently and it fitted well with no bagging; adjust the waist cord to suit.
   
   Compared to the more expensive jackets in the range this is very good value. I don't require acres of pockets to make me a human rucksack, just enough to be able to carry some essentials.

   Whilst a top-of-the-range Rover Jacket might ban an object of desire, for about a quarter of its cost the Hawk Jacket offers not dissimilar looks with its soft peach-finished waterproof, windproof, breathable Innovation 7 material, and great performance at the price.
   Its comfortable and practical for general outdoor use yet smart enough to wear around town, with two large flap-top pockets, zipped map/security pocket, detachable hood and adjustable cuffs, bottom hem and waist drawcord.

   This is an absolutely brilliant jacket. Lightweight, rustle free, warm, wind resistant and waterproof. It is also smart enough to wear after walking, birdwateching or whatever, so I don't have to take an extra jacket in the car. Could be improved by adding handwarmer pockets under the two normal side pockets. Would also like to see it made in blue (I'd buy one straight away if they did) (Posted on 29/05/2010)

   If you want a quality waterproof, windproof and breathable jacket at a nice price, have a look a the new Hawk Jacket from County Innovation. Made to be unisex, the jacket has a detachable and adjustable hood, two large, flapped outside pockets, a zippered inside security pocket, adjustable cuffs, and a drawsting and hem. Its sized so that you can slip a fleece on underneath if the weather gets really cold and, coupled with the articulated sleeves, this gives you good freedom of movement in the field.
   Overall - A practical waterproof and windproof jacket that punches above its weight. It's perhaps more basic than some similar jackets but the price makes up for any lack of added extras that are more 'nice to have' than 'must have'.
   How did it score? Design and ease of use 9/10, Quality 9/10, Value for money 10/10.
