    1. A very versatile and comfortable outdoor shirt Review by James T. Fowler

I have also the Traveller Long Sleeve Shirt and find the Short Sleeve version to be excellent worn either with my vest on a very warm day while hiking or on a photography run. I also enjoy wearing it by itself with a comfortable pair of shorts or hiking trousers. I will be going to the Dominican Republic soon and will definitely make it a part of my traveling wardrobe because of its light weight, smart look, UV protection, and comfort. (Posted on 10/06/2015)

    2. Costa Rica Review by The Biggest Twitch

Just back from a brilliant birding trip to Costa Rica – amazing, colourful birds; lovely scenery; great lodges; delicious food; friendly people; - what more could we ask for?! Thought that you might like to know that our Country Innovation kit did us proud during the tour. We took with us the clothes you gave us after our modelling session and they worked really well. The long-sleeved shirts kept the mozzies at bay in the forest areas, and still always looked smart, not matter how hot and humid the weather got. Quick-drying, it was easy to wash them out overnight and wear them again the next day. Ruth’s black trousers were extremely comfortable, and as the material was thin but close-weave, they stayed cool in the hot areas we visited but were perfectly warm in the cool areas up in the mountains where we went up to 3000m altitude. Must admit, we’d hadn’t expected such a contrast of scenery on the trip – everything from steamy rainforest, sandy beaches (with baby turtles heading for the sea as fast as possible – so cute!), cloudforest (a bit like North Wales in November but with more colourful birds) and high mountains and volcanoes that really took your breath away. Wonderful place, we hope to take another group back there next year. (Posted on 07/01/2015)

    3. Spot the jaguar Review by Derek Moore

Knowing I was going off to the Pantanal, Brazil for a couple of weeks and that temperatures would be over 40 degrees C for most days I was looking for a good travelling shirt. Being a user of several Country Innovation products I paid a visit to their stand at the British Birdwatching Fair at Rutland Water and was not disappointed.
I chose a Traveller’s Shirt made from Stretch-Tec fabric which is lightweight, quick drying and breathable. The garment is also UV protected , has two zippered chest pockets and bottom side vents.
I saved my new shirt until we reached Porto Jofre the southernmost and hottest part of our trip. Apart from seeing the rare Hyacinth Macaw it was here we hoped to see and photograph Jaguars.
My new shirt not only brought me luck with the big cats but kept me cool, comfortable and dry and washed out overnight ready for the next day. I could not have asked for more.

    4. Fantastic Product Review by Steve Young (Birdwatch Magazine)

Just in time for the (hopefully) warm summer weather, Country Innovation has introduced a new clothing range: the Traveller trousers, waistcoat and shirt. Competitively priced and stylish, all three items look and feel good, and with the wind turning to the south I tried them out on a relatively hot day at my local patch. Although warm, it was still rather breezy, but the Stretch-Tec fabric makes these trousers windproof and breathable. They are very comfortable to wear and with the side-elasticated waist were ideal, until I start my summer diet! The trousers come complete with a black webbing belt which adds the look.
The eight pockets are perfect for carrying all the bits and pieces I need on a day out, such as spare memory cards, converters, phone and wallet, without having to carry a bag. And it’s good to know that after a day out kneeling down and taking photos they can be machine washed.
The matching shirt and waistcoat are made from the same fabric and are both a very nice fit, as well as being lightweight and comfortable to wear. The formers two zipped chest pockets add to the ‘pocket-fest’, while another nine pockets can be found on the waistcoat, including an inside one and a handy pen pocket. The shirt is available short or long sleeved.
The waistcoat’s fold-over collar effectively reduced the rubbing of my binocular strap. The large zippered side pockets are large enough to fit my smaller camera body and there is no need to carry a bag when wearing this complete outfit. (Posted on 04/06/2013)

    5. New Range from Country Innovation - Birdwatching Magazine - Oct 2011 Review by John Bridewell

My Country Innovation Falcon jacket was an essential part of my birdwatching gear last autumn and winter, and my Venture waistcoat has been put to good use for several years now, so I was more than happy to give their new Traveller range a try.
As the name implies, this new collection of clothing is lightweight and designed to be practical in a variety of climates. The fact that the trousers and shirts (long and short-sleeved) are made of a lightly stretchy fabric would make them very comfortable for a long plane journey, or even an extended period sitting in a hide.
There are some clever seams on each side of the trousers, too. They prevent the fabric from drawing tight when you bend your legs, and stop them looking saggy-baggy when you straighten up.
The pockets on the trousers have additional security pockets inside them, which are useful to hold cash or little bits of camera gear, like a spare SD card.
The other useful garment in the range, for travelling as well as birdwatching, is the waistcoat. With four big pockets on the front and more inside, it's idea for carrying tracel documents safely but ready to hand.
As we've come to expect from Country Innocation, pockets in useable sizes, and lots of them, are a big new feature on every item in the new range. Even the shirts have two chest pockets. If you wore a Traveller shirt, trousers, waistcoat and jacket you'd have 32 pockets for all your various treasures.
Not only that, but you'd have paid just £300 for an entire wardrobe of shirt, trousers, waistcoat and jacket, because the other thing about the new Traveller range is that it is very reasonably priced. Given that the jacket is waterproof, windproof and breathable, and the rest of the range is breathable, wicking and fast-drying, with the trousers also being windproof and the shirts providing UV protection, you get a lot of high-tech for your money.
One last thing to mention is that the shirts, trousers and waistcoat come in a pale beige or creamy sand colour. This was a plus for me as I don't always want to be part of the regiment, and if I need camouflage on a windswept moor I can always put the jacket on top (which is regulation green) but, otherwise, I can blend into the non-birding world at an airport or a dry Mediterranean hillside quite nicely!
