From a
very early stage, Bill Oddie was very keen to get involved in the
development of gear especially for the birdwatching market. Fabrics used
have to be soft, low rustle and above all 'green'. Pockets must be large
enough to hold notebooks, binoculars etc. Waistcoats have to have
collars to stop the rubbing of scope and camera straps. Bill now
works hand in hand with Country Innovation in the future development of
their range to ensure that each garment has the qualities necessary for
birding enthusiasts. His favourite products are the following: |
"I only choose the best, and this jacket is undoubtedly the most protective jacket I have ever had" |
"I won't leave home without this jacket. It's lighter than the Rover for when the weather isn't quite as bad" |
"You'll see me wearing this jacket a lot in my TV series. Not as many pockets as the other jackets but a really comfortable, warm jacket" |
"The most useful birding garment I have ever had" |
Falcon Trousers Not a pretty sight, hence no photo! "Great trousers that are also wind and waterproof" |
